The Sweetest Subject
For me, a newborn baby is nature’s most beautiful work of art. And, I can’t seem to get enough of them. Newborns are my favorite photographic subject; they are my passion. And, I enjoy what I do! I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I wake up every day excited to do my job–how many people can say that with a full heart?
The best time to take a picture of a newborn is within the first ten days, when they are fresh out of the oven, so to speak. That is how the name, Fresh Baked Photography, was born. I need to get-em while they’re super fresh and super sweet. The earlier the better.
Nothing compares to welcoming a newborn into your family. I know from experience. I also know how important it is to have a keepsake of these precious first moments because the tiny newborn phase disappears in the blink of an eye. You’ll want to hold onto it forever by creating something that is more than just a picture, that is a work of art to last a lifetime.
Isn’t it funny how life has a way of coming full circle. I started college studying photography back when they, gasp, still used actual film. I went on to become an English teacher for ten years (don’t ask), and then realized that I missed my camera and my creative side. So I went back to square one in 2011.
Each and every day, I am amazed at how much I enjoy doing this. It is rewarding because I get to expand my knowledge base and challenge myself every day. I love what I do, and I push myself to learn as much as possible about my craft.
